Meet Blaize

Blaize, aka Blaizer Boy, he is the one behind the scenes who actually runs this household. LOL

Blaize is my quirky, loving dog. As you can see, he has the most piercing icy blue eyes. Everyone always asks me, “What kind of dog is he?” I tell them he is a Pitbull – Husky Mix (Pitsky). “OHHH, so that’s where he gets his eyes,” the reply. Every. Single. Time.

What’s a Pitsky like????

  • Well, he has the quirky personality of a Husky. Vocal, playful, will chase any animal for miles. Sheds SO MUCH. Beautiful blue eyes.
  • But, he’s a love bug like a Pitbull. Love to cuddle, always so sweet. Protective.
  • He has silky fur like a Pitbull’s, but the under coat is soft and thick like a Husky’s.
  • He is medium sized. About 60 pounds, mostly all in the chest.

Blaize is now 6, but he still acts like he is a puppy. He’s full of energy and loves to go for runs. He is sassy and almost always gets what he wants. Everyone always seems so surprised when I tell them how old he is, they always assume he is still a puppy. I’m not really sure if that is a good or bad thing..

I got Blaize when he was 8 weeks old. I was only 20 and had just moved into my first house alone. I needed a companion, and what’s a better companion than a puppy?! Blaize became my best friend. He holds such a special spot in my heart, and has helped me get through the hardest times of my life.

For my 25th birthday & Blaize’s 5th birthday I wanted to do something special to honor and remember our relationship for the rest of our lives. I hired Root + Arrow Photography to take our photos!

If you’ve ever tried to take photos of a very curious dog in a new place, you know it’s nearly impossible.. THERE ARE SO MANY NEW SMELLS. But, Amanda was amazing. She was patient and was still able to capture some of the most amazing photos that I will cherish for a lifetime.
…there may or may not have been chicken nugget bribes…

I highly recommend getting photos with the people (or animals) you love. Life is precious, and there really is no better way to remember the special moments, than looking back at photos. I’ve never one regretted have pictures done, but there has been countless times I’ve wished I had more pictures with people in my life.
